Responsible for all ecommerce related financial transactions and payments for our social marketplace for Fitness.

As a global payments technology company, tech is at the heart of what we do: We will eventually be processing over 1 million transactions / week and we need strong systems and automated self-serve reporting to be able to handle the sellers, customers and flow. We will have sales people, ambassadors, and brands all wanting to sell and market their services through the system. We expect to enable digital currency transactions using our rewards program and recirculating commissions through the system. We are also global advocates for fitness, health and wellness, helping the small guy gain visibility and distribution by accessing our multi-million dollar platform for free to monetize their network of customers and followers. Many are resource constrained and it is our job to help them succeed.

Fitmoo has an entrepreneurial, start up corporate culture. The vision of the company is to be the first and largest integrated online fitness solution, combining social media, gym/club research and membership and e-commerce.

The ideal candidate will come to Fitmoo with direct ecommerce experience including full accounting integration. He/she will join a dynamic team as one of the first 10 employees and will report directly to the CEO. He/she will be in charge of developing, implementing and overseeing the entire ecommerce strategy for company. This includes payment processing, report generation, UI and UX design and development, API integration, transactional aggregation, tracking, taxation, and working with the accounting team. Previous e-Commerce platform management and/or direct programming experience for merchant accounts required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement development of large scale e-commerce platform including online store, payment processing system and customer online balance management. Manage integration of the sale of a variety of products to create a high quality user experience.
  • Design and implement online store functionality, enhances existing functionality, exits obsolete functionality, investigates new opportunities, continuously refines online store with testing.
  • Align technology with business e-commerce strategy; including scope definition, cost estimations, resource allocation, business requirements, process design, technical specifications, data management, compliance, and testing.
  • Leads the design of new systems to meet business requirements, changing needs, or newer technology; coordinating with cross-functional teams; and researching the latest developments in technology applicable to the enterprise.
  • Coordinates closely with web site development team.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation.
  • Works closely with accounting to drive general ledger accuracy for e-commerce transactions.
  • Develop the appropriate report procedures associated with corporate activities, merchant sales, and commissions earned.

  • Candidate Requirements
  • Hands on experience in eCommerce and online payment technologies, developing and maintaining enterprise scale solutions.
  • Hands on experience with all parts of an eCommerce solution e.g. Product Information Management System / Catalog, Order Management System, User Interface, Cart, Payment Gateways, Inventory Management etc.
  • Transactional Social Media experience a plus.
  • Comfortable with web-based and mobile-based technology systems, including how they communicate and integrate into our back-end databases.
  • 3+ years experience on a large Ecommerce platform / website.
  • Experience managing the implementation of complex eCommerce systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Usability, eCommerce management, web marketing or related discipline, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Our head of ecommerce must also be the eyes and ears to the possible political, tax, credit card company, and governmental influences. He /she must have a good understanding of the current state of the payments and ecommerce market place as well as changes expected to come from the OCC, banking regulators, and credit card companies, so that the company can stay ahead of the curve in terms of innovation.
  • Proven ability to fuel revenue growth and provide competitive advantages through sound leadership and strategic planning for e-commerce companies and financial services, development, and implementation of technology.

  • This position has the potential to grow into a full CFO role.

    Full-time. Initially contract work with the expectation of post-launch full-time employee.
